Bazzill Cardstock

I started by taking a piece of printer paper and folding it in half. I then drew half of the surfboard and cut it out. I traced the surfboard onto my cardstock leaving about 1/2" seam on the top.

I then cut out strips of orange and green cardstock and adhered them to the blue card base. I took ink in a shade darker than the cardstock and added some shading around everything.

To stamp Lucky without the wave I inked up only Lucky and the surfboard, I had a little bit of ink go into the wave. To take care of that I took a q-tip and some cleaner and cleaned off the ink. You can also put strips of tape over the parts you don't want inked up, ink your stamp, pull off the tape and stamp.

I colored Lucky in with Copic Markers. To make the 3 colors on the "Have fun" saying I took the ink I used to add the shading and lightly dabbed it over the saying.

Preview Day 1- Pretty Kitties

These are the prettiest little kitties ever!

"S" Wall Hanging

Supplies

Pretty Kitties Stamp Set (available July 7th)

Rob and Bob Pattern Paper

Solid Silver Ribbon

Swarovski Crystals Fuschia

Medium Weight Chipboard Coasters

I stamped queen kitty on white cardstock with Brilliance Dew Drops Graphite Black. Graphite Black is my favorite ink to use with markers. The paper I stamped on is from Prisma Papers and will also be available on the 7th. I have found this is nice paper to use with markers but not great to use with OMS and colored pencils. It was really hard to get the OMS to move around the colored pencil.

The black outline around the kitty was done with a pen and ruler, I wanted to have nice straight lines. I colored queen kitty in with Copic Markers, her crown is done with a Stardust pen.

I used one Medium Weight Coaster, they measure 4" x 4". I took the piece of pattern paper and cut it out 4" x 4" and glued it on, I then trimmed the corners. Finally I lightly sanded all around the egdes to give it a nice finished look.

I then assembled the hanging. The "s" was a silver sticker I had on hand. Instead of doing a ribbon hanger I took the pop top off a can of pop and used a pop dot to stick it to the back. Since the hanging isn't heavy the pop dot has worked great.

Some housekeeping, sale stuff, discontinues, restocks, etc.

Starting July 1st the C.C. Designs Stamps, single stamps only, will no longer be available wood mounted. This includes Bitzy Bugz, Reindeers, Holiday and Season, Donald and Daphne, etc. They will still be available EZ-Foam Mounted.

I will be keeping the wood mounted sets, but changing the way they are sold. Instead of being completely assembled they wil come to you like Stampin' Up Sets, where you will need to assemble them yourself.

I will also be working on tutorials for cutting out the stamps along with guides on what rubber to cut around an image.

I feel with these changes we can provide you with better customer service.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I just found out that Astor Park, Bloomin Paislies, For Peep's Sake, Garden Gate, and Three Bugs and a Rug's Coco Collection, Seeing Stars, and Blossom Collection, Cloud 9's Brittany's Castle, Hampton Collection, Kate, Birdie, and Twirl have all been discontinued. They are currently listed in the 1% off category. I have also gone through and deleted out items that were out of stock and no longer available from the manufacterer.

A lot of the items that were in the 25% off category are now in the 40% off so come on by and check them out.

_____________________________________________________________________________

We just restocked about 300 items and will be restocking the following this next week; The Cat's Pajamas, Pink Cat Studios, Tim Holtz inks, Dew Drops, Stampendous, Punch Bunch, Prima Flowers, and quite a few misc. items. Please note that they were ordered but may not be here next week, but the following week.

ATS Challenge 5 - Background Stamps

This week Jen's challegne for the ATS Design Team was to use background stamps instead of patterned paper (or if they didn't have any CCD BG's to use another CCD stamp to make their own background).

Untitled Here is what some of the team members came up with!

If you would like to play along you most certainly can - I'd love to see what you come up with!

Use the keyword ATSDTC05 when you upload to a public gallery (such as ATS's gallery orSplitcoast) or you can upload it to your blog - then come back here and leave a link to your card on this post in the comment section so we can see it too!

Product Review - Little Monkey's Storage System

Hello Everyone! Amy here - hoping you all had a great weekend!

Christine let me know that All That Scraps is now carrying the Little Monkey's Stamp storage system - so I HAD to come over here and post about it.

StarterSystem

For those that don't know what I'm talking about you can read the review that I posted on my blog not too long ago here. I seriously am LOVING storing my unmounted rubber stamps this way - in fact I got a second Starter Set along with 2 more sets of inserts so that I can start organizing the rest of my stamps - and am even contemplating unmounting some of my wood mounted (*shock* I know!) stamps so that I can store them like this as well.

Another AWESOME review of this system can be seen here on Splitcoast. It looks like all those that reviewed the system loved it - and I am sure you will too!

So as a recap - the Starter System retails for $30 and with that you get the box (which you can decorate to match your decor! That's next on my list....), 6 sleeves with inserts (they're 8x8"), a sample of the static cling sheets (I haven't used those at all - I kept them tho just in the box b/c they might come in handy down the road....).

Then you can get JUST the sleeves with inserts (right now ATS carries the Playground line - every few months or so Little Monkey's offers a new color lineup of the inserts just to mix things up a bit) - which will fit in the box you get with the starter set (on average a box will hold up to 12 sheets with inserts when they are all full of unmounted stamps).

Do you have thise storage system? What do you love (or not love!) about it? You can leave your comments/questions in the comment section of this post and I can edit it later to answer them!
